We're closed to most students
The Government is asking parents to keep children at home whenever possible – schools remain open only for children who need to attend.

Our School Council

We value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives the pupils at Parkland a forum to share their opinions and ideas on a weekly basis with the Deputy headteacher.

A new School Council is elected each year with every class nominating representatives from Year 2 to Year 6. Our School Council are working hard to improve out school.

Our School Council mission statement: Our School Council wants to promote pride in our School by working with everyone to develop projects that make our school a better place.

What we have achieved so far?

  • successfully raised money for new art and craft resources by holding a used toy sale.
  • spoken with visitors in our school allowing our pupils voices to be heard.
  • held an assembly on bullying. Set up a bully box for children to report any incidents of bullying in school.
  • registered our school for the fiver challenge which provides a highly interactive, fun way of introducing financial numeracy, resilience and teamwork in learning for primary school pupils. Pupils have 1 month to set up a mini business and create a product or service they can then sell or deliver at a profit plus an opportunity to engage with their local community.
