Ruth Agnew has experience as a governor in nine schools over the last sixteen years including primary, secondary and special. She was appointed as a National Leader of Governance by the National College for Teaching and Leadership in 2012. Having previously worked in local authority governor support services and as an independent governance consultant and training, she joined the Co-op Academies Trust as Head of Governance in 2019. She has two adult children, one at university and one who has just started a career as a maths teacher. In her spare time she enjoys singing with the Rockchoir – when such activities are permitted!
