Attendance/Absence

It is very important children attend school every day and on time.

If you are experiencing difficulties with attendance, please get in touch.

Children who attend 100% are 5 times more likely to work at, or above, the expected standard.

If you have any questions

Call us or pop in and speak to Mrs Flaherty, our Senior Learning Mentor.

Her job is to make it easier for parents and carers to become involved with school. She is there to create a strong school relationship.

She provides support for pupils and families from Nursery right the way through to the end of Year 6.

Support can be offered in a variety of ways, from a chat in school to referrals to a variety of agencies such as the school nurse, children’s centre or other services specialising in working with families. We are committed to safeguarding our pupils and work with parents, carers and external agencies to do this. Report a safeguarding concern here.

One of the main areas of support is ensuring that children attend school regularly, this means achieving the target of 95% attendance. We work with parents and carers to support good attendance and are always on had to offer support and guidance. If you have any issues around your child’s attendance please call in for a chat.

Mrs Flaherty is based within the academy during school hours and can be contacted via the main office either by dropping in or ringing 01274611512. There is also a post box that you can leave a message in located in the front entrance.

For students with Special Educational Needs, please speak to our SENDCo,Ms Pascoe.
